Blessings in Celebration of St. Francis

“Blessed are you, Lord God, maker of all living creatures. You called forth fish in the sea, birds in the air and animals on the land. You inspired St. Francis to call all of them his brothers and sisters. We ask you to bless these pets. By the power of your love, enable them to live according to your plan. May we always praise you for all your beauty in creation. Blessed are you, Lord our God, in all your creatures! Amen.”

Gracie, eagerly awaiting her turn.

Thanks, Mimi.

Needless to say this was a belated celebration this year. Hard to hold onto the camera and shoot while holding Gracie on the leash for all but the last shot. Those beagles sure now how to make noise (I forget the technical terms for whatever the beagle hound howl is). Meanwhile the goldens just looked calm and happy. (Who knows about the cat in the crate). Anyway, the rector turned out pretty well in his Sunday skirt carrying his holy water bucket.
